Reviews the book, Consensual Qualitative Research: A Practical Resource for Investigating Social Science Phenomena edited by Clara E. Hill (see record 2011-09578-000). This edited book presents the consensual qualitative research (CQR) method. CQR is a qualitative method that is becoming increasingly used in the area of psychotherapy research and counseling psychology in general. The book presents the method and its two variations: (a) the CQR modified for large but brief written qualitative data sets and (b) the CQR version for case studies (CQR-C). The reviewer predicts that this book will lead to CQR becoming the method of choice for psychologists (especially the ones interested in psychotherapy research) conducting qualitative research. It deserves to be the book to be read on graduate research methods' courses and to be read by seasoned researchers interested in qualitative research.
