摘要

Due to the large heterogeneity of the population,medicine that focuses on the individual needs of patients becomes more of an issue.This certainly applies for respiratory medicine where classic lung function tests do not provide detailed information about patient specific lower airway abnormalities.New advances in imaging techniques and computer methods make it possible to gain a deeper,patient specific,insight into the mechanics of the human lungs.On top of this,the technique makes it possible to assess important features such as drug particle deposition in each specific patient.
