摘要

Quantum-dot Cellular Automata (QCA) is one of the promising nano-scale technologies appears to be able to replace current manufacturing technologies in future. In this paper, a new serial adder and a new serial-parallel multiplier are proposed as well as a new processing element in QCA. Using these new designs, we have demonstrated that instead of manipulated systolic array, classic or conventional systolic array architecture can be used. We have achieved some significant improvement in terms of cell complexity and speed. Furthermore, these designs enjoy edge driven I/O structure and are implemented in one layer. Besides, they are appropriate for pipeline systems.
