摘要

Extramammary Paget's disease (EMPD) of the vulva is rare, representing less than 2% of vulval neoplasms. Its rarity often results in a delay in diagnosis since it shows the same clinical symptoms as chronic vulvitis. Even the least invasive form of the disease, Type la, can spread extensively and insidiously Our patient was an 81-year-old woman who was referred to a gynaecologist with a 3 year history of vulvar pruritus, and 6 months of focal vulval ulceration with one minor episode of bleeding. Her past medical history included a myocardial infarction (2005), atrial fibrillation (2005), osteoporosis (2008), hypertension (2009) and chronic back pain for several decades. Her medications included vitamin D, calcium, perindopril, digoxin, frusemide, morphine, omeprazole, warfarin, paracetamol, felodipine, pravastatin and latanoprost.
