摘要

The patient is a 58-year-old woman of Ashkenazi Jewish descent, who in 2008 had new pleomorphic calcifications in the left breast at 2-o'clock, seen on routine mammography. She had a lumpectomy showing microinvasive ductal carcinoma measuring less than 0.1 cm, arising from ductal carcinoma in situ. The sentinel lymph node biopsy finding was negative. The patient was treated with radiation therapy and took tamoxifen for 3 years. She presented in 2012 with a palpable right breast mass. On physical examination, the patient had a well-delineated and slightly mobile mass at 10 o'clock in the right breast. There was no axillary lymphadenopathy. The patient's family history is significant for 2 maternal cousins with breast cancer at ages 40 and 59 years. The patient was tested for BRCA mutation and was negative.
