BLOOD-GLUCOSE meter technology at Accu-Chek has jus taken its largest and smartest leap following the introductic of Accu-Chek Performa, offering people with diabetes and the health professional carers more confidence than ever before about the ease of testing and the reliability of test results.Diabetes patients in many cases presented to a pharmacy have difficulty producing reliable results from the current generation of blood-glucose meters. Often it's a function of poor technique or, if they've just been diagnosed, confusion at a time when they have to absorb a lot of new information and they might actually be in a bit of shock.Other factors, such as temperature, humidity and the state of test strips, also play a big role in the quality and reliability of the test results. Up until now, diabetes patients have had to take all this into account in order to maintain an accurate blood-glucose profile. This can place restrictions on a patient's ability to live their lives to the full.
