It is very likely that the 450mm Planer/ Thicknesser shown in these photos was used in the construction of the Sydney Opera House. Certainly its apparent age is consistent with this provenance which was suggested by a former owner.The brand marks are so worn as to be almost indecipherable. But they do show, unequivocally, that the machine was made in Legnano, Italy, an area which even today, is home to manufacturers of woodworking machinery.
