Members of the Florida Citrus Nurserymen's Association, University of Florida-IFAS, I FDACS Citrus Budwood Bureau and growers in i December spent six days touring the citrus industry in California. They went to learn more about California's nursery industry, production, packing, regulatory practices and new varieties. They also promoted a protocol for fast-tracking new germplasm between our industries, shortening the quarantine time. Participants included nurserymen Nate Jameson, Phil Rucks, AbrahamBoyzo, Tommy Thayer, Chester and Gordon Rasnake, Greg Holmberg, and Lynn and Lew Steward. Joining them were grower Steve Ebersbach; Budwood Bureau personnel Mike Kesinger and Mark Terrell; and UF/IFAS horticulturist Bob Rouse.
