The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) has announced project initiation for three new standards and recommended practices that are designed to support business continuity and improve energy management efforts for cable system operators. The projects, which have been issued by the SCTE Standards Program, address three important energy and operations areas, namely Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery; DC Powering; and Carbon Data Management. Announcing these projects is a key step in soliciting input for developing standards or practices that can improve service delivery, reliability, and efficiency for cable system operators.
