摘要

The DP virus could be successfully isolated in 10 days old duck embryos from the field samples. Liver and spleen tissue sample was found to be more efficient samples. Isolation of DPV from positive field samples was done in duck embryos and successive7 passages were given for adapta-tion. The infected CAM and the embryos show! extensive hemorrhages throughout the body. These changes indicate propagation of DPV in embryonated duck eggs and final confirmation of DP viral nucleic acid in CAM and liver of infected duck embryo could be easily done by PCR.
