摘要

The revised AS/NZS 6400 is expected to be published before the end of March 2005. The mandatory water efficiency labelling scheme, AS/NZS 6400:2005, has been developed by Committee WS-032 from the voluntary scheme that is currently maintained by the Water Services Association of Australia. This revision of AS/NZS 6400 is expected to be made mandatory by the Australian Government as part of the Water Efficiency Labelling and Standards (WELS) scheme. Under the WELS Scheme all prescribed products will be required to be registered and carry the new six star water efficiency label, including, washing machines, dishwashers, lavatory equipment, showers, tap equipment and urinal equipment. Toilet equipment will also be required to comply with minimum water efficiency requirements.
