DutchCare is an organisation that provides Aged Care services in outer Melbourne, Victoria. DutchCare CEO, Ms Petra Neeleman, was one of the leaders in the Aged Care Industry who took her organisation through BEA's Excellence in Aged Care Program during its pilot phase in early 2002. DutchCare is an advocate of the Eden Alternative philosophy which introduces animals, children and plants as part of caring to help older people feel valued in the community. DutchCare is keen to put residents at the centre of decision making about their care and lifestyles and uses the Business Excellence approach to gain input from staff, residents and family members on issues that need to be addressed.
