摘要

This study was conducted to determine the viability of vegetatively propagated selected oaks (Quercus petraea). Specifically, the study included the selection of superior trees and the development of reliable means of vegetative propagation using cuttings from the selected trees to produce clonal plants for commercial use. It is established that survival of clones 17 years since after planting has been good, suggesting that if vegetatively produced clonal material were available, then it could be used in forest conditions. However, the problem of identifying suitable plants for propagation remains.
