Once again, we are publishing the results of our survey on the use of the Performance Presentation Standards which are on the cusp of change. The last edition of this survey was in 2005, just prior to the introduction of the 2006 revision of the GIPS Standards. As of this writing, we are in a comment period for the next set of proposed changes to the GIPS Standards, which are currently scheduled to take effect in 2011. At the time of our 2005 edition of the survey, the GIPS Standards had been adopted by 26 countries. Of those 26 countries, ten countries had what was known as a "Country-specific Version of GIPS" (CVGs), nine had Translations of GIPS (TGs) and seven had adopted GIPS verbatim, in English. The following table shows the status of GIPS adoption at the country level back in 2005.
