摘要

The classic Peyronie's deformity is curvature. This curve is oftentimes upward but can occur in any direction. Some men with Peyronie's have complex curvatures that pass in two or more directions. While curvature is the most common deformity seen in this condition, other abnormalities may occur, including narrowing of a part of the penis shaft, penile pain, softness of part of the penis during erection, and palpable nodules in the penis. In some severe cases, these palpable nodules in the penis can become very hard and almost bone-like from the presence of calcium deposits.Pain in the penis is sometimes the presenting symptom and may occur in the absence of any deformity. Oftentimes, the pain occurs only with erection, but may occur at other times. Fortunately, pain from Peyronie's is typically a self-limited phenomenon (i.e., it goes away over time); however, it might take several years for the pain to completely resolve.
