Since 1982, oral isotretinoin (13cis-retinoic acid) has been marketed as an effective treatment for patients with severe nodular acne that is unresponsive to conventional therapy, including systemic antibiotics. The most frequent adverse reactions associated with this drug are the mucocutaneous effects on the lips, eyes, mouth, and other epidermal surfaces [1]. Herein, we present the case of a 2 5-year-old woman who developed dyspareunia and vaginal bleeding after receiving systemic isotretinoin for nodulo-cystic acne.
