"Too often, good research evidence is undermined by poor quality reporting" [1]. One of the goals of The Journal of Sexual Medicine is to promote the exchange of scientific information and provide sexual medicine professionals with essential educational content. To do this, not only must the published works contain high-quality and novel research, but these manuscripts should also adhere to appropriate reporting guidelines to ensure they all are. supplying similar methodological information and providing transparency across studies. When writing up the results of your studies, have you ever thought to yourself, "should I report that?" And, when looking to published manuscripts for guidance, you discover that some authors did report "that," while other authors did not. This type of inconsistency in reporting only detracts from the scientific quality of the literature.
