Korean automakers' aggregate car production at their overseas plants from January through October sharply increased together with an increase in the output and exports of their automotive knockdowns (KDs) compared with the same period last year. According to a recent report by the Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association (KAMA), year-to-date automotive production by local carmakers at their overseas plants through October reached 958,111 units, up 20.8 percent from the same period last year.
