In spite of the domestic mills' drastic expansion of the upstream and downstream capacity, the imported steel products accounted for high portion of the domestic market at 27% last year, according to the analysis by KMJ of the statistics of the Korea Iron & Steel Association covering the long and flat steel products during the recent five years from 2006 through 2010.
