Five major local electric arc steelworks saw their average ratio of operating income to sales decline by 0.8% points to 8.5% in the first half of this year compared with the same period last year. In the January-June period, Hyundai Steel's ratio of operating income to sales marked 9.5%, while other four steelworks stayed below 5%.
