Re-bar producers are strongly resisting Fair Trade Commission's decision of 74.9 billion Won penalty imposition and lawsuit by reason of illegal agreement on price increase, saying that the industry's situation and practice were neglected. On 29th September FTC announced that the re-bar producers violated the article 19 of the Fair Trade Law in the price increase for private and public demand and in its investigation of 24th September it resolved to ask the producers to correct the practice and make a public notice of it in the newspapers. It also resolved to impose a penalty of 74.9 billion Won and bring the case to court.
