Planning to increase production ratio of strategic items to 100 percent in the future. Dongbu Steel held a start-up ceremony of its M-CCL February 12 and announced that it has a plan to strengthen the functionality of its pre-painted steel sheets and to make them fashionable as strategic item of the company. The M-CCL, which began to run in October last year, is turning out only strategic products, and the company is planning to raise the production ratio of such strategic items to more than 70 percent this year from 51 percent last year and up to 100 percent in the future. To this end, Dongbu Steel has continuously expanded its development of new items and began to operate the M-CCL that can exclusively produce printed steel sheets. M-CCL is the abbreviation of Multi-purpose Continuous Coating Line of Dongbu Steel which is running with an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons. Dongbu Steel built M-CCL with its own technology and made it possible to print steel sheets in three colors through 1 path with its 3-coat 3-bake system.
