The sales of aluminum sheets took an upturn in four months, enabling all the local makers of aluminum sheets to enjoy a sharp rise in the domestic sales. The combined monthly sales performance by three major local aluminum sheet makers posted a total of 49,643 tons in October, up 7.5 percent from 46,161 tons in the same month last year. Of those sales, domestic sales stood at 26,426 tons, an 18 percent surge from the year-earlier month's 22,387 tons, while exports slid 2.3 percent to 23,217 tons from 23,774 tons.
