According to the statistics from the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC), the aggregate exports of Koreas wire ropes to the U.S. until November last year reached 97,232,745 tons, marking the 9th place among the items that hit the top rank in each category. The recent findings by the KOTRA Dallas office, based on the U.S. import statistics as of the end of November 2003 released by the USITC, showed Korea took the 11th place in exports to the U.S. all over the world with the top-ranking items in 69 product categories under 6-unit classification. Among the top-ranking items, wire ropes (USITC HS cord 731210) were found to have stayed at the 9th place.
