There is a view that it would take some time for the distribution market for hot-rolled coils (HR) to make a recovery. In July and August, most distributors expected that demand for HR would slowly begin to pick up again, making a turning point at the Chusok or in October at the latest. At the beginning of September, however, some distributors in the market as well as officials at steelmakers began to forecast that a recovery of their sales would be made somewhat later at the beginning of next year.
