In November, domestic sales of Korean-made automobiles hit the highest monthly record in 30 months, showing conspicuous signs of a recovery in demand. Analysts said such a favorable tone in the domestic sales last month was attributed to the successive launch of new models and the improved consumer spending. According to data from the Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association (KAMA), aggregate automotive production from January through November reached 3,327,600 vehicles, up 6.7 percent from the same periodlast year. Korean automakers sold a total of 3,343,568 vehicles in the same eleven months to November, up 7.3 percent from a year ago, marking 1,014,551 at home and 2,329,017 abroad, respectively, with a year-on-year increase of 1.9 percent and 9.8 percent.
