摘要

GRRENTLY comprising nearly 10,000 database entries, ibliOrchidea is the largest world-wide database of orchid literature. It is being compiled by the Swiss orchid specialist Dr Rudolf Jenny of Bern who, for the past two decades, has catalogued orchidliterature including books, articles in journals, dissertations and conference proceedings, starting with pre-Linnaean material. To date, more than 80 percent of orchid literature has been scanned for inclusion in the database. The Swiss Orchid Foundation at the Herbarium Jany Renz is proud to collaborate with Rudolf Jenny to make his indispensable research tool available on the Foundation's website www.orchid.unibas.ch, both to active orchid specialists and interested laymen and amateur growers.
