摘要

The articles reported in this Special Issue are based on talks given at the Experimental Psychology Society (EPS) meeting held in Oxford, March 31st-April 2nd 2004. Six of the authors (Aggieton, Buckley, Busscy, Hampton, I loldstock, and Lee) presented as part of a symposium on the role of the perirhinal cortex in memory and perception, organized to coincide with the delivery of the 2004 Bartlett Lecture by I)r Karalyn Patterson. Three of the other contributions stem from related talks given at the same EPS meeting (Bright, E. A. Gaffan, and Rolls), with the final paper (I Ienson) summarizing relevant findings from functional neuroimaging.
