摘要

With eager buyers waiting in long lines to get one of their own, the iPhone burst onto the scene in the United States on June 29, 2007. Since then, Apple has garnered about 20% of the market for smart phones in its home territory, despite the presence of the BlackBerry, Treo, and others. Aside from its unmatched industrial design and "coolness" factor, what makes the iPhone so special? And more importantly, are there ways we could use it to deliver enhanced reference services? In this column, I'll try.
