BLM-Adige USA Corp., Wixom, Mich., has opened its Center for Productivity Improvement in Tube Fabrication. The April 18-19 opening event included hands-on seminars on tube cutting, bending, and end forming. The seminars also included presentations from Delmia, a manufacturing software provider; Polaris Industries, a user of BLM and Adige equipment for the manufacture of sport vehicles; and demonstrations of the company's equipment. The company uses the 12,000-sq.-ft. center for educating engineering and manufacturing professionals in the uses and benefits of technology, techniques, and processes for fabricating tubular components. Its objective is to help manufacturers achieve various goals related to new-product development, cost reductions, quality improvements, and speed to market.
