Cold Metal Products Inc., Pittsburgh, and Samuel, Son & Co. Ltd., Ontario, have agreed to an alliance for the processing and distribution of cold-rolled strip steel. The agreement calls for the idling of the Samuel-Whittar operation in Detroit. Production assets and equipment from that facility will be moved to Cold Metal's Hamilton, Ont., plant. That facility in turn becomes a joint processing plant for Samuel-Whittar and Cold Metal Products.
