For the engineering students from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, coming to FABTECH 2001 reinforced their career choice and instilled a new sense of pride in their ties to manufacturing. Last November five students from Cal Poly's Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering trekked to Chicago for the FABTECH International Exposition and Conference. Accompanied by instructor George Matulich, who wanted to show his students the full scope of an industry related to their educational focus, they brought an ambitious agenda to the show.
