摘要

The magnetic leaking flux method for detecting weld seams relies on two magnetizing coils to generate a constant electric current, or magnetic flux, which is transmitted through a yoke (see Figure 1). The flux enters the tube wall via the pole cap at one side and leaves the wall by entering the opposite pole cap. This arrangement is similar to electrical current passing through resistors in a parallel circuit. One branch of the circuit is the path taken by the primary flux, and the other branch is the path taken by the secondary flux. In addition to obeying the rules of a parallel circuit, magnetic flux also follows another rule of electrical cur-rent: It travels through the path of least resistance.
