BRISK November air, towering skyscrapers, and the sound of the talk radio hosts analyzing the most recent Bears game can mean only one thing: The FABTECH Intl. & AWS Welding Show, North America's largest metal forming, fabricating, and welding exposition and conference, is in Chicago once again, one year after a successful campaign in Atlanta. The show, co-sponsored by the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association Intl. (FMA), the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), and the American Welding Society (AWS), brings together buyers and sellers in a venue that facilitates business relationships, networking, education, and the buying process. Approximately 900 exhibitors and 25,000 attendees are expected at the show. Attendees hail from diverse industries, such as architecture, engineering, and construction; aerospace; agriculture; appliance; automotive; chemical; construction products and materials; electrical and electronic products; food service and processing; furniture and fixtures; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning; heavy equipment; job shop and contract manufacturing; medical; metal-working; military and defense; mining, utilities, and power generation; recreational equipment; and transportation.
