Team Industries Inc., Kaukauna, Wis., was selected by the AFL-CIO, Union Label & Service Trades Department to receive the 2007 Labor-Management Award. The annual award recognizes labor-management cooperation and a strong commitment to workers' rights. Team Industries was nominated for the. award by the United Association of Plumbers and Steamfitters (UA) because of its "firm dedication to the principles of progressive labor-management relations and its commitment to the dignity of work and workers." Team Industries employs 110 UA members. The UA craftsmen and Team's shop are supported by a state-of-the-art fabrication facility and a comprehensive data management system that fully integrates the company's engineering, material control, and status tracking activities. Product lines include piping and pressure vessels with an emphasis on the petroleum, chemical, and power industries. Team's expertise in welded fabrication covers all materials commonly used in these industries, including carbon steel, chrome-moly, stainless, nickel-based steels, duplex materials, and some more exotic metals. It also builds and markets a welding positioner and gripper designed specifically for pipe welding.
