Eaton Leonard manufactures the RoboFlex, which incorporates a six-axis robot for automatic loading of tubes into the bender, feed (Y axis), rotation (B axis), and unloading. The bender can produce difficult shapes not normally considered for bending on a conventional machine, according to the manufacturer. Unique capabilities include bending hybrid tubes with accessories attached, clockwise and counterclockwise bending on the same part, automatic loading and unloading, and bending both short and long tubes in the same workcell. It is suitable for automatically bending tubes that have been assembled with brackets, flanges, hoses, and end forms. Typical applications include assembled air-conditioning tubes, power steering tubes, brake lines, and gas tubes.
