The technology for the sorting and purification and the commercial application of sulfuric acid dregs,a research project undertaken by Wuhan University of Science and Technology,has recently passed appraisal.The technology is intended to recover and refine sulfuric acid dregs to make the secondary utilization of resources.It is suitable for the use in the sorting and purification of dregs containing metallic solids and the rough screening and fine screening of natural non-metallic minerals with low density.It can also be used in the comprehensive recovery of ferrous,non-ferrous and rare metal tailings and the enrichment and separation of chemical fine particles and metallurgical wastewater.Purified sulfuric acid dregs can be used as feedstock for iron smelting and magnetic materials and also as construction material such as cement and cement blending agent.
