That's the case as well in the United Kingdom, though that country's production, marketing andpolitical systems are obviously quite different from those in the U.S.The following very interesting year-end commentary, addressed to British sugarbeet growers, was written by William Martin, board chairman of NFU (National Farmers Union) Sugar, the entity representing all UK sugarbeet producers.
