In the May/June issue of Timber Harvesting, Mooney's Corner begs the question, is there value in WSRI? From my stump, I say absolutely! Why, because WSRI is the point at which there can be measurement and debate between supplier and consumer as logging contractors and mill procurement address the tactics and operations of our wood supply system. WSRI is not a quick fix, but is the point at which loggers, trucking contractors, and mill management must evaluate the wood supply system to insure that itis not the weak link keeping the industry from being globally competitive.
