摘要

Australian Zircon NL (AZC) opened its Mindarie mine in mid-November 2007 and, although the ramp-up has been slower than anticipated, the company is now moving towards its Phase 1 production targets: 75,000 t.p.a. of ilmenite; 15,400 t.p.a. of rutile/leucoxene; and 43,000 t.p.a. of zircon. The Mindarie mine is located in the southern zone of the Murray Basin region, about 150 km east of Adelaide. The mineral sands separation plant is located at the minesite and from here mineral sands products are transported by rail to Port Adelaide, for onward shipment to customers.
