The paint industry is facing a challenge in dealing with the increasing awareness and concern that is raised over environmental issues on a global basis. This is especially important in architectural paints because the products are close to end-users, and consumer demand is driving the move away from solvent-based paint to environmentally friendly systems, such as water-based paints.
