Syrgis~R, an international diversified group of fine and specialty chemical manufacturers, has received a license to operate a business in China under the name Shanghai Syrgis Trading Co., Ltd. The company will be based in Shanghai and has named Henry Tong as the General Manager. "One of the key facets of Syrgis' strategy is geographic growth," said Andy Harris, Syrgis CEO. "China's rapidly increasing domestic consumption represents an excellent opportunity for Syrgis, and establishing a corporate presence in China is a logical step in this process.
