摘要

Black smoke emission from existing light duty twin oven flat bed cremators was investigated. Preheat estimation together with heat and mass balance calculations were carried out. It was found that retarded combustion rate assumed by the original designer based on slow gasification of feed" material could not be realised. This, together with improper preheat, was the culprit for black smoke formation in the past. Final strategy used to tackle the black smoke problem was reported in this article.
