3M has introduced two next-generation Littmann electronic stethoscopes - models 3200 & 3100-into its range. Featuring 24 x sound amplification to assist in hearing faint heart, lung or body sounds,and patented Ambient Noise Reduction technology, which acoustically cancels an average of 85% of background noise, both stethoscopes are ideally suited to patient monitoring against the distracting sounds of the theatre environment. For the first time, model 3200 features on-board two-way Bluetooth transfer of sounds to software for record keeping, further analysis and to support patient referral.
