Over thousands of years, the nature of pumping water has changed many times and there have been some gigantic leaps in technology. Solar pumping is one such leap in technology that continues to improve. Farmers now have a device that uses the awesomepower of the sun to pump water where grid power is not available. In fact, many farmers are finding that by using solar powered pumps they can now graze stock on pastures that were previously unproductive due to a lack of water. Solar pumps are also theperfect pump for low-flow irrigation and general water pumping. Solar pumping is a clean, environmentally friendly, and simple alternative for locations beyond the reach of power lines and it produces the most water when needed the most—that is when the weather is sunny and dry!
