The 2009MY Audi A6/S6 features TPI, an advanced indirect TPMS from Sweden-based NIRA Dynamics AB. It is the first vehicle to be sold in the USA with an indirect TPMS that meets the FMVSS 138 requirements. NIRA Dynamics is currently working with Audi to develop TPI solutions for all Audi models for use worldwide. The company also has comprehensive development programs with VW and other manufacturers targeting both the European and North American markets. This marks a breakthrough for this technology and proves that TPI is ready for the mass market.
