China - Zhengzhou Yutong Bus Co Ltd of Zhengzhou recorded bus deliveries in 2009 of 28,186 units, second only to Daimler's bus division which produced 32,482 units in 2009, Gaopeng Li, chief technical officer for Yutong Bus advised Truck & Bus Builder, ahead of Busworld Asia in Shanghai last month. Li added that since 1993, Yutong had averaged 10% year on year growth in bus sales, the exception being last year when bus and coach deliveries edged up just 2.2% from 27,556 units.
