摘要

The PSE is wellknown worldwide as an international conference with high scientific level in the field of plasma surface technologies. For many scientists in this field it is a 'must' to join this conference every two years. Today we havescientists and people from industrial applications as two individual groups and it is a fact that the number of scientists at the PSE is dominant in relation to people from industry. To promote the transfer and to get a better understanding between thesetwo groups this workshop was prepared. It is intended to serve as a practice oriented forum for dialogue between them. The focus is on the rapid conversion of new technologies from the laboratories to industrial production in order to improvecompetitivity.
