Single-node vine cuttings of Dioscorea rotundata and Dioscorea bulbifera rooted in moist peat or perlite yielded microtubers which could be stored satisfactorily for 50 and 100 days, respectively, and which on subsequent planting produced tubers of asatisfactory 'seed' size.
