The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of slaughter weight on the corporal yield, conformation, greasy, carcass compactness, leg, compositional tissue, perirrenal fat, relation between muscle/bones and muscle/fat of the carcass in lambs crossbred F2, Corriedale x Texel. The qualification of the carcass according to the CEE in relation to the scale about the conformation, greasy and perirenal fat was examined. 13 male lambs of 32.21+or-0.37 Kg (Lot 1) and 13 male lambs of 24.27+or-0.23 Kg (Lot 2) from Cuenca del Salado, Argentina were used in this study. Results showed significant differences in the compactness of the carcass (Lot 1; 0.26 vs. Lot 2; 0.20), bone percentage (Lot 1; 16.93 vs. Lot 2; 19.13), ratio of muscle/bone (Lot 1; 3.65 vs. Lot 2; 3.40) and ratio muscle/fat (Lot 1; 3.41 vs. Lot 2; 4.03). It was concluded that the slaughter weight affects significantly the carcass compactness, the bone percentage, the ratio of muscle/bone and muscle/fat. The conformation, greasy and the perirrenal fat the carcass of both group were considered suitable for the standard of the CEE.
